Why It’s Important to Sign Up at docgiff.com

What do newspaper editors do if they don’t agree with what you write? They fire you. I’ve annoyed some editors by expressing an opinion on controversial subjects. Or by stressing that natural remedies can be safer, less expensive, and more effective, than synthetic drugs. Today, drugs kill 100,000 North Americans every year and are responsible for sending hundreds of thousands to emergency departments because of adverse drug interactions.
I have often said that in the next life I want to own all the newspapers, as freedom of the written word is only enjoyed by those who control the media. But I’m still alive on this planet and have been fired, basically for fighting the establishment. So editorial truth is under attack.
Newspapers, due to the digital age, are rapidly going the way of the dinosaur. They’re cutting costs and many are closing down. Due to this, I’ve lost 80 percent of my readers. This is not good for me, health food stores, or for consumers, who are suspicious of big pharma. It means that soon I will lose contact with more readers unless something is done.
The solution? Readers can sign up on the homepage of this website docgiff.com where I have total control of what I write. They will be able to read my weekly column and occasional medical tips. Moreover, the more who sign up, the greater the collective voice we will have on health matters that concern us.
History shows that numbers do count when change is needed. For instance, years ago I delivered 40,000 letters to members of parliament in Ottawa, demanding that heroin be legalized to ease the agony of terminal cancer patients. It was legalized finally in 1984 after a prolonged battle.
So our expression of free speech and commitment to truth in healthcare all depends on readers signing up in large numbers so that our voice is amplified, gins more influence, and is heard in the corridors of power. United we win or divided we fall. And if we fall, it will be a victory for Big Pharma, a blow to natural health, natural health food stores, and the availability of natural remedies. We also must not allow biased newspapers to place limitations on the publication of common-sense medical facts.
